NYX anniversary sale haul!

So like 3 weeks after I placed my hectic annoying coupon code order for NYX's "anniversary sale" I received my order. I planned on getting much more but i could not get through on the actual day of the sale so i had to email them for a coupon code which was not as good as the sale prices but oh well! I bought all lip products because I am in the beginning stages of putting together my own professional makeup kit and i was new lip products that I could keep and use in a sanitary way. I choose 6 lip glosses, 7 lip sticks and 4 lip liners.

Lip gloss colors left to right: La La, Nude Pink, Beautiful, Gold Pink, Smokey look, and Nude peach
Lip Liner colors left to right: Plush Red, Pose, Dolly Pink, Nude Pink

Lip stick colors from left to right: Chic Red, Gala, Rose, Harmonica, Narcissus, Pure Nude, Tea Rose

I am very happy with my purchase from NYX. The glosses are very pigmented and smell delicious. I love the packaging with the cute bow at the top. If you have any questions comment below, don't forget to follow me and thanks for reading!! :)

Review: Loreal one sweep shadow

This is going to be a review on the Loreal One sweep eye shadow pallet. They come in a few different colors based off of eye colors. The color i got was in Playful for all eyes. It is a bronzy golden color and i thought it would be pretty for summer. I have heard on some reviews that this is hard to work with so i played around with it and i think i found a great way to use it.
The eyeshadow is three stripes of three different complimenting colors. It also comes with a weird shaped eyeshadow sponge but it covers the shape of my eye pretty well. Underneath where the sponge goes is a mirror also.

What i like to do when I apply this shadow is instead of sweeping the colors across my eye, I just press the sponge into the shadow colors and wiggle it so the colors transfer well onto the sponge. I then do the same thing to my eye, press and wiggle with the darker color being closer to my eye lashes and the highlight towards the top. I use both sides of the sponge so that each time i press, the darker color is on the bottom and fits my eye shape.
One thing i found out with this eyeshadow was that in needs a primer underneath it to really get pigmented color. The top swatch is used with urban decay primer potion underneath it and the bottom swatch is just the eyes shadow on its own. If you a going for a softer lighter look you don't need a primer with these shadows.

Here is the finished result. After i press the colors onto my lid with a sponge, I just use a blending brush to make sure the colors blend into each other better. I also add a little bit more of the highlight color because not that much fits onto the sponge. Overall i think this is a great eyeshadow pallet if you use it the right way. The colors are really gorgeous.

May favorites!

Hey everyone, so the month of May has been pretty hetic for me. i finished school, started up summer classes and finished them in three weeks. I was so busy that i didnt really have much time for makeup but i did find some things that i really having been loving this past month.

The first thing I will talk about is the bath and body works triple moisture shower cream. I picked this up in the scent twilight woods and it is amazing!! I was searching for a while for a good in shower cream and i have found it! This stuff is so moisturizing and feels amazing on my skin in the shower. I think i want to buy one in every scent cause its that amazing!

The next this that was a favorite f mine for the month was the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in the color bone. It is a great highlight color and a great all over base color. I use this color to blend out my crease upwards with a large fluffy eyeshadow brush and it works great.

ANother thing i am loving this month is my philosophy kiss me tonight lip balm. I did a post on this a few weeks ago and it truly is an amazing product. My lips have never felt so great. I use this every night before i go to bed and i wake up with nice moisturized lips.

I also picked up the philosophy a kiss is worth hoping for. It is basically the stick form of the philosophy kiss me tonight lip balm. Has the same delicious vanilla mint scent and is a great everyday lip balm.

For my moisturizer this month i have been trying out the benefit total moisture facial cream and it has been working great for me. I love the feeling it has on my skin because its not to heavy and its not too light. I think i will be purchasing the full size one once i run out of my sample.

I fell in love with the physicans formula mood boosting bronzer this month! it is just gorgeous! The packaging is so cute and i just love the heathy glow it gives me when i wear it!

The last thing that i loved this month was the sweet riot candy that came in one of my birch boxes. Its these cocoa nibs covered in dark chocolate. They are so delicious and i loved just snacking on a few to help my sweets cravings for the day.

Thanks for reading and don't forget to follow me! comment below and tell me one of your favorite products for the month of May!

May Haul....lots of nail polish

So this month, I found so deals i could not resist. Majority of the things I purchased were nail polish because I have a little bit of an obsession. I picked up the stuff from CVS, Sephora, Amazon and Bath and Body works.

The first things i picked up were from bath and body works. They were having a deal, buy three get two three i think, and i was picking up some stuff for my mom for mothers day so i decided to take advantage of the deal. I got the Twilight woods, shower gel, cream, and in shower body cream. I have to say I am loving the in shower moisturizer.

At CVS i picked up some staple items like face wash hair clips and eye makeup remover pads. I also got covergirl lash exact waterproof mascara because it was 50% off. I needed a waterproof mascara for summer and i thought this would be great.
At CVS they were also selling Orly nail polish on sale for 6.99 i think so i picked up two colors. A bright pink for summer (va va voom) and a sparkly purple (bubbly bombshell). Sally Hansen also released their own line of crackle nail polishes so i purchased a few colors. Snow Blast which is a white, vintage violet which is purple, and antiqued gold which is a gold.
The last two things i picked up at CVS was a Revlon lip gloss in Peach Petal because i have heard a lot of good things about that, and a perfume. The perfume was a steal because i picked up Jennifer Lopez Luxe for $12!!!!!!!! normally $58. It was 75% off for memorial day!

From Amazon, i ordered three nail polishes from the OPI pirates of the Caribbean collection because i could not find them anywhere!  I picked up the silver shadder, Mermaids tears, and sparrow me the drama.

The last place was Sephora and my boyfriend bought me some things for our anniversary. I picked out the Tarte amazon clay blush in dollface which i am so excited to try out, and a nail polish that was on sale called access 24/7 which is like a magenta pink color.

Those are all the items i picked up in the month of May. If you have any questions or want some reviews let me know in the comments below! Also don't forget to follow me! Thanks for reading!
