Birthday nails!

So this past Friday was my birthday! I turned 22 years old which seems crazy too me!
I decided to paint my nails fun and glittery since that is what I love. I was deciding between a light pink base or a light purple and decided to go purple. I loved the way they came out! I used a base color and then two types of glitter polish on top.
The base color is essie's lilacism and then on top i used OPI's sparktacular and then from the muppets collection rainbow connection. Together the two glitters make a great combo of all different sizes and shapes of glitter.
For my birthday I just had family over and we all had dinner together. It was great to get everyone together and have a great meal chosen by me! :)

I love holiday gift sets!

I just got back from Ulta and I just had to do a haul/post! I love all the holiday gift sets that always come out around the holidays and I picked out a few in the Ulta flyer I got in the mail. The ad was dated for the 12th and I feel when I wait until the ad is good they are always out of stock at my Ulta of the things I wanted. I decided to go a few days earlier and they had everything I wanted! I always thought the products would be out the day of the ad but they put them out earlier.

My mission was to pick up OPI nail polish in rainbow connection. When I walked in there was the muppets display and there were only TWO rainbow connection polishes left!! Thank goodness I went early. I wasn't so lucky with the katy perry collection. I was too late and they were all sold out! I also picked up the color Warm and Fozzie. Each polish was $8.50

Anyway what I was so excited for was this butter London nail polish set! The colors in it are so unique and they are glitter which are my favorite!! In my Ulta there were three different color combinations and there really were not many of each set so if you are interested I suggest you go pick one up asap. The two colors in this set are TheBlack Knight and Tart with A Heart. The set is $25

The next great set I picked up was the eos lip set. It comes with three different flavors in Strawberry Sorbet, Sweet Mint, and Passion Fruit. I don't have any of these flavors so I was so excited for this set. The price for it was $7.99!!! I picked up three because I am going to use them for stocking stuffers!

The last set was the Nivea lip care set because I really want to try the Milk and Honey flavor. I thought it was a good deal because you get three check sticks for $5.99. I think I might divide these up into stocking for the holidays also.

I hope you guys enjoyed this quick post and if you have any questions please comment below! Don't forget to follow! It's free!

Fall nail series 4

I went and picked up my first zoya polishes! I went to ulta and hidden in the back on the end cap of a aisle they had some zoya colors. I was so excited because they were buy 2 get 1 free.
One of the colors I picked up was zoya Jem and I think it is a great color for fall. It is a dark purple mauve color with golden greenish shimmer! So pretty

This polish has to be one of my favorite colors for fall. I love the formula for zoya and I can't wait to pick up more colors to try out. I have been thinking of ordering zoya nail polish remover because I have heard that it is really good and it doesn't sting cuts. Have any of you guys tried out their remover?? If so let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Fall nail series 3

Subtle halloween nails

The base of this polish is just a black color. I didn't want to go too intense so I choose this color from wet and wild because it has small glitters in it. They are like a golden orange color. I applied two coats of this to ensure no streaks.
For my accent nail I choose a orange glitter because when I think of halloween I think of like orange and black with maybe some green and purple. This particular glitter has golden orate glitters with a few green ones too.
The two colors I used were the Wet and Wild fantasy makers black magic and poi's extra-va-ganza from the holiday collection last year or two years ago. There are a tone of different glitter polishes that you can find form all different brands so all you need it to look for an orange one. I liked this color because it has a few green glitters in there also.

Happy Halloween!!

Revlon Diamond lust eye shadow

Helloo sparkle. Here are two of Revlons new diamond lust eye shadows in the colors night sky and plum galaxy. They are gorgeous! Night sky is a gray color with tons of fine glitter that sparkles every color imaginable. Plum galaxy is a plum color with more of a pinky silver sparkle to it.
I suggest using a base under these shadows to really get a true color from them. They really did not have much of a fall out when I swatted them which made me really happy because I love sparkle.

Fall nails series 1

I have decided to post the good fall nail combos I find and wear this season. This is my first combo, Essie's sexy divide and opi mad as a hatter nail polish. I know that mad as a hatter was a limited edition color but there are tons of glitter polishes available right now to go pick up. All you need is a silver glitter with come cooler colors like blue and purple.

The color sexy divide is a deep purple color with a hint of shimmer. I love color and instead of having a neutral color polish for the fall I went for a deep purple

A little haul for ya...

The first place I did some damage was Ulta. I have been really good and haven't made a trip there in over a month! Which is a long time for me haha. Anyway I went to redeem my Ulta rewards certificate which I was a level 4. I picked out the its a 10 miracle leave in treatment which is something I absolutely love! Its a great product and when I can get it for free I will take it. Then I picked up some nail polish colors.

From left to right: wet and wild fantasy makers in black magic and purple potion, OPI crown me already! and Lucerine-tainly look marvelous. I picked up that dark gray in hopes it could be like Chanel's graphite.

The next place I went to was bath and body works. I love the fall season and I wanted to pick me up some fall scents. First from their halloween collection I picked out the three mini adorable halloween packaged candles. So cute! and for the fall season I picked up the scents, Autumn Apple ( my favorite) roasted marsh mellow, and autumn. I figured I would try out the smaller candles first since I wasn't sure how they would smell when they were burned.

The last place I went to was Victoria's secret and I was drawn in on the adorable yoga shorts/pants. I picked up two of each because they have the cutest designs on them!! Up top are the shorts and below are the pants. I am so in love with these!
Alrighty, now its time for me to go since my dogs are begging me to take them for a walk as I am typing up this blog post...
how could you say no to that little face...

Everyday Makeup Storage

I decided to revamp my makeup storage by adding something on top of my vanity that i could put my pencils and everyday makeup in. I didn't want just a cup for my pencils so I looked for something that went all together that I could get. I did my research and found something great. I headed over to one my favorite organization stores (The Container Store) and picked up something perfect for what I wanted.
The container store has these office sets that you can stack and they come in three different sizes. I picked out things from the smallest size because I wanted something that would no take up too much space on my vanity. I picked up two drawers ($8.99) and the top part ($14.99).
In the top compartment they come with removable dividers which i used to separate my pencils and mascaras.
The back part which is big I use to put my mac eyeshadow pallets, my urban decay naked pallet, and my mark pallets which I use the most.
The bottom compartment I put smaller eyeshadow pallets that I like to use for everyday looks and my favorite highlight eyeshadow color.
You can choose from many different inserts to put in the draws which is great. In the top drawer, i bought the 2 compartment drawer insert ($4.99) and put my gel eyeliners.

I also purchased the 2 compartment drawer insert for the bottom and put the products I reach for everyday. It makes it so much easier and quicker when I get ready for the day in the morning.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions comment below! Don't forget to follow me for more posts!

Hair Feathers

For the summer I decided to get some hair feather extensions. I wasn't sure if I should get the clip  in kind or  get them put in professionally. My best friend wanted to get them too so we decided to get them put in professionally together. Now I am the kind of girl who loves color! I could not pass up the bright colors for summer and decided to get a hot pink and a hot blue feather put into my hair.
My hair is very long so the feathers do not reach all the way down to the bottom of my hair but i didn't care too much about that. I decided to get them put on the side of my head so I had the choice of hiding them if I needed too. I got them put in in early July and they have been holding up strong this whole summer.

They way they were put in was if I was to get regular hair extensions so they are like bonded to a little group of a few hair strands. I have to be careful when I brush my hair because the comb can get caught about where the feather is bonded to my hair. So far I have not had any problems with them and I love them!

I haven't decided if I am going to take them out or just leave them in until they fall out. The colors are a bit bright for fall so I probably will end up taking them out in a few weeks!

Starting up a freelance makeup kit

So I have been taking some classes at my college to get my makeup artistry certification. I decided I was going to start small and build up a kit I can use for practice on people I know. The first thing I did was check out sales for the different makeup companies. I went with NYX because of their huge anniversary sale and ELF because they always have coupon codes to use, not to mention they have great prices for good products.

The next step for me is picking out foundations to use and buying a train case. For now I have this soft pink makeup case that I am using which works fine for now.

ELF had a 70% off coupon so I picked up most of their blushes, tinted moisturizers, and powder foundations, along with a concealer pallet, setting powder, and face primer. Below I also picked up under eye concealer and brightener.

On a previous ELF purchase they were selling a set of 12 brushes for $1.50 so I had to take advantage of that. I also picked up mascara wands and lip gloss wands which are essential for a makeup kit.
During NYX's anniversary sale I picked up a lot of lip products. I choose different color lip liners, glosses and lip sticks. All of the products in this case I am going to keep sanitized. This is how I started up my personal freelance makeup kit and if you have any questions feel free to comment below!
